Math-55x: Intermediate Algebra

Concepts involving complex numbers, quadratic equations, conic sections, functions and relations and their graphs, exponential and logarithmic functions. I took this class in high school, but that was a long time ago. Retaking this will offer an easy transition into Trigonometry and Geometry. This is an independent course, my notes may be few and far between; however, I wanted to provide the grounds for arising inspiration.

Class Journal

This isn’t one of my active logs, but it’s worth mentioning, this journal is on hold and may not be updated before the end of this semester, Spring 2008; most of my extra time is dedicated to finishing and preparing for the presentation of my honors project, The Doorway.

  • First Math-55 Classes: 02.04.08
    • This is the first post to get things rolling. I’ve been developing my pace over the last several weeks. I will dedicated Tuesdays and Thursdays to Math. The other days will be for the movie.
  • Math 55 Mid-Term: 03.19.08
    • I finished my Math 55x mid-term last week, several weeks ahead of schedule. I scored a 99% on it, making one small mistake. It’s been fun challenging myself with the tests and fast pace. I haven’t taken many journals on this course, for it is more of a lead in to Trigonometry for Geometry and the Calculus latter, and I may write one my journal once the course is completed.
