Stepping Through

It is 10:27 AM. Juiced on adrenaline and inspiration, I slept three and a half hours last night. In addition, I’m sitting on a plane boarding for Ontario and taking a moment to briefly reflect. Last night was one of the most important and extraordinary days of my life. The night symbolized… it actually was the union of several of my objectives, i.e., art, education, family and friends.

The plane is taking off, one moment….

OK, I’m in LA now, and it’s 4:20 PM. I intended on finishing this note during the flight. However, I sat next to two very interesting people, an environmental lawyer and a probational officer who is the daughter of TV Slim. As they conversed, I thought to myself, this is what I want to see on screen. It was so natural, fun, and real.

With that said, I will make this quick, for I have business and leisure to take care of, and oddly enough, after finishing the movie, business feels like vacation.

All in all, last night’s premier of The Doorway was more then I ever imagined. To have Rob Nilsson, Mr. Willis, mentors, family, and friends together for such a special night was absolutely amazing.

Thanks to those who attended and made the night so beautiful. I hope this marks the beginning of many more similar screenings.

After my business/vacation, I will post the show notes and more reflective words. For now, time to relax!
