Casting Finished

We cast for the movie, and all parts are filled. ¶ I edited the characters names in the project description to reflect the new names, i.e., Jordan to Joseph and Michael to Jordan ¶ Yesterday, I confirmed Jay Hitchings for the part of Jordan. Jennifer Trujillo is confirmed for the part of Clare. I also confirmed Shane Simone for the part of Joseph. Shane and I had a great discussion over tacos and beer at Chipotle. I mentioned to Shane, that I wasn’t exactly sure how to end the movie, not a bad thing. Shane had a great suggestion, to leave the ending open to the viewer. This reminds me of a poem we analyzed in Mr. Willis’s English class, The Road Not Taken, by Robert Frost. Mr. Willis guided me to a realization. This realization, the perspective of Frost’s poem is left to the viewer, and I like this. ¶ We will now work into rehearsals. Rehearsals will be exercised as a means to developing the core by which actors will act. This is a technique I experimented in with New World, my movie that screened in the NY Film Festival. Prior to my knowledge or experimentation of this technique, Rob Nilsson took the concept further with Direct Action Cinema, a cinema of action. I will mix a strong visual aesthetic, touched with in my art work and Pardoned, with the natural and real potential character development behind Direct Action Cinema.
