Creek Chimes
the hour was walking the cold creek
the blue deep night was flavored with a crescent light
and beats moved in the grooves of noise
humming for the earth to turn it’s myriad times
as chancy substance rolled with chimes
singing and parading from the flow
watering down within the vines
Another Shoot - And Some Pics
We are moving forward on The Doorway. After two weekends of shooting, things are going very well; I’ve included a picture from the recent shoot below, visit the project page for additional production stills.
Last weekend I focused on editing the footage we have, and the scenes are coming together. We will likely wrap up shooting next weekend, and it’s worth noting, Nero is doing some incredible work.
I also started the process of reserving the screening room, and the presentation will likely take place the first week of June, after finals. Dr. Manwell, the Las Positas College Dean, has been absolutely incredible with creative support for presentation preparations, and I’m excited to share my experiences at the event.
Last, I have decided to hold off on journal entries for my other courses; I need to give all of my focus to this project, and it will take the rest of this semester.
So here is a still from our last shoot. Again, for more images, visit the production page, production stills.

The Doorway - Jordan

This image is from the first day of shooting The Doorway. As noted in the production newsletter, Shooting, inspiration guided me into the lead part, i.e., to play Jordan. I will limit website notes, thoughts, and feature images until the production is complete; my main focus and attention is now guided towards The Doorway. The screening and presentation will likely take place during finals week, towards the end of May. Visit the production page for additional production stills, The Doorway Production Stills.
The Doorway Newsletter #2 - Shooting
The Doorway production is moving forward, and plans for the screening and presentation have begun. In addition, over the last several months, I made substantial changes to the piece. These changes concern the cast and were influenced in developing the project. With these changes, The Doorway has become more personal then I ever imagined.
I was inspired to simplify the movie and wanted to focus on the main character, Jordan, and his challenges. I envisioned most of the conversations and interaction taking place through a phone, and I could see the scenes with a sharper focus on Jordan’s experiences, events, and actions. This meant narrowing down Jordan’s supporting characters; so I eliminated the associated scenes and relieved two of the actors from the movie. Shortly after, I was inspired by a vision. This idea added a great twist to the direction; not to mention, it has deep ties to current personal events and inspirations. I then relieved the last participating actor and took up the lead part, i.e., I decided to play Jordan.
Official production started last week, and I’ve attached one production image from the first several days of shooting, additional images are located on the production page, The Doorway Production Stills. The screening is planned for late May at Las Positas College, in Livermore. I will send out one last update with official dates, likely around the beginning of May; for now, the majority of my time is dedicated towards furthering The Doorway.

Humn-10 Weekly Summary
This post will be kept short; a lot of my time is being directed towards the movie, The Doorway. On Tuesday, we did a quick recap on last weeks in class movie, Across the World. On Thursday, we went over due dates on assignments. Again, I’m keeping it short for my busy schedule; I’ve been non-stop the past several weeks.
Fri. Training - Basic
Today was a very basic back work out. I will keep this post short; most of my time is now dedicated to the movie. I worked out for about an hour, and I ran 2 miles at 7-10 mph. At the end I ran two 1/4 miles, in intervals, at 12 mph.
The Deed
Lofty hours shining in the strife of little refrained hiccups pulling from inside to cry for another moment in true feeling pleasure open to new and becoming circumstances of life
I am here, and I am living in the bombardment waiting for gravity to bring a peace from collisions with momentum in harmony of benevolent dreams
I am here, with you and with this deed, as others collide to extinguish or ignite, we can only say to be, as I will, regardless of the ends of you without me
